time to begin the blogness again
I feel anxious and lonely today for some reason
maybe because there is good waves and sunshine but I am stuck in an office writing this blog

Ever get that feeling deep in the bottom of your gut that you may have taken the wrong turn
somewhere in life and you are missing out on it?

Sometimes I feel entirely opposite however and feel that no matter what I am on top and doing exactly what is destined for me to do

Must be the january blues I go through every year

Tuesday's rain caused more sewage spills and water closures for North County beaches, according to the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health.

Officials said more than 700,000 gallons of secondary treated sewage was discharged from the Hale Avenue Resource Recovery Facility in Escondido after rain caused excessive flows, going first into Escondido Creek, then into San Elijo Lagoon before entering the Pacific Ocean at Cardiff State Beach.

In San Marcos, 17,000 gallons of untreated sewage and rain runoff flowed into San Marcos Creek, then Batiquitos Lagoon and entered the Pacific at South Carlsbad State Beach.

A power failure at a pump station at Camp Pendleton sent about 5,400 gallons of untreated sewage into San Mateo Creek. It flowed into the ocean at the area of San Onofre State Beach known as "Trestles."

Signs warning of sewage contamination will be posted at the beaches until sample results indicate

the ocean water is safe for recreational use.

Meanwhile, Oceanside-based Highway Patrol Officer Gary Hoag, 49, who was injured Monday while working a rain-related accident in the San Onofre area, is mending, said Officer Tom Kerns, agency spokesman.

Flooding, mudslides, rocks and debris closed a number of North County roads before the storm moved through.

The National Weather Service listed the San Luis Rey River in Oceanside as "at or above" its flood stage of 16 feet. It was almost 4 feet above that by midafternoon, but expected to recede, said forecaster Don Whitlow.

The Buena Vista Lagoon flowed over the Coast Highway at the Oceanside-Carlsbad border for a time. Farther south, part of Manchester Avenue in Cardiff was shut down because of water overflow along the San Elijo Lagoon.
